The ARK Rescue Sled is used as an Evacuation Platform and has been meticulously crafted in collaboration with Qld Fire and Emergency Services to serve as an Inflatable Work Platform (IWP) for safely relocating people during flooding events. This innovative craft is designed to be towed behind a motorized boat, making it a valuable asset for large-scale evacuations.
Smaller versions of this model creating a more dynamic Rescue Sled can also be made.
Capable of comfortably carrying up to 10 people, this sled plays a crucial role in relocating individuals displaced by floodwaters. In addition to being towed by a motorised boat, it can also be guided along flooded roads by rescue personnel holding onto the handles and walking beside it.
The platform is thoughtfully designed to ensure any water that accumulates on it freely drains out of the stern, maintaining a safe and dry environment for passengers. Its wide and sturdy construction, coupled with grab handles at the stern, facilitates easy and secure passenger loading.
Crafted with a high-pressure DWF Floor that remains semi-rigid, the IWP offers extra stability and structural integrity. The incorporation of 8 rated D rings, 6 rear handles on the floor for boarding assistance, and 18 chamber handles enhances the functionality and safety of the craft.
