NRS Echo Responder PFD – Built for Operational Flexibility

The NRS Echo Responder PFD is designed for professional responders who require a high-buoyancy life jacket that adapts to complex rescue environments. Combining modular load-carrying capability with an ergonomic fit, this PFD delivers 11.8 kg of flotation in a streamlined, mission-ready design suitable for a wide range of body types.

Developed using NRS’s Every Body Design™ approach, the Echo Responder removes the need for gender-specific sizing by focusing on how a PFD moves and performs on the water. The Orbit Fit System™ uses carefully shaped layers of lightweight closed-cell foam to create a naturally curved profile that sits securely without restricting movement.

A heavy-duty front zip allows for fast donning, supported by secondary safety buckles to maintain security during high-load or high-stress operations. Front and rear MOLLE fields provide a scalable platform for attaching rescue tools and accessories, while hook-and-loop chest panels support identification placards for team and agency visibility.

Internally, interconnected webbing forms a secure rescue harness, making the Echo Responder suitable for live bait and technical swiftwater rescue techniques. SOLAS-grade reflective accents improve visibility during night and low-light operations, and a silicone-coated interior waist strip helps keep the PFD correctly positioned in fast-moving water.

The PFD is fitted with a 50 mm quick-release rescue belt with an anodised aluminium ring, allowing efficient connection for live bait and other swiftwater applications. A ladder-lock buckle reduces excess webbing and enables fine adjustment without disengaging the rescue belt.

Storage includes two low-profile zippered front pockets with MOLLE-compatible exteriors, plus two concealed hand-warmer pockets for colder conditions.
